The Maghfirah Center teaches the Quran to both children and adults, aiming to instill a love for the Quran in hearts and raise a generation guided by the morals and noble values of the Quran. Through specialized educational programs, the center strives to provide a comprehensive learning environment that includes memorization, proper recitation, and understanding of the meanings of the verses, helping students to delve deeply into the Quran and apply it in their daily lives.
Learning and teaching the Quran to children holds great importance and is considered one of the noblest acts a Muslim can perform for several reasons:
1. Spiritual and Moral Guidance: The Quran is a source of guidance for Muslims, teaching them moral and human values, such as honesty, trustworthiness, patience, and mercy. When a person learns the Quran, they learn how to be a good and beneficial individual for themselves and their community.
2. Drawing Closer to Allah: Reading, understanding, and reflecting upon the Quran is a means of drawing closer to Allah, as it is His divine word. This worship strengthens faith, increases love for Allah in our hearts, and makes us more upright in our lives.
3. Achieving Inner Peace and Tranquility: The Quran brings healing to hearts and relief from distress and worries. Reading and learning the Quran gives Muslims a sense of peace and tranquility, helping them to face challenges and hardships with calm and resilience.
4. Building a Balanced Character in Children: Teaching children the Quran from a young age instills Islamic values, helping to raise a balanced generation with good morals, religious awareness, and an understanding of their rights and responsibilities towards Allah and others.
5. Enhancing Mental Skills: Memorizing and understanding the meanings of the Quran strengthens memory, fosters thinking and analysis, and is an exercise for the mind that helps children develop their intellectual abilities.
6. Earning Great Reward: Learning and teaching the Quran is an act of worship for which Muslims are rewarded. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.” This way, we gain Allah’s pleasure and achieve continuous reward.
7. Protecting Children from Negative Thoughts: By learning the Quran, children acquire strong foundations that help them resist negative ideas and doubts they may face in life, providing them with a shield that protects them from deviation.
